Hi, I’m Chris — a drummer, music educator, and education consultant with a passion for helping students, teachers, and music schools succeed. I’ve been teaching since 1998 and have worked in a wide range of settings — from private drum studios to classroom programs and large-scale education initiatives.

In the UK, I was part of the leadership team at a major arts organization supporting music in over 350 schools. Since moving to the U.S. in 2015, I’ve continued that work — running my own teaching business and, more recently, becoming the official U.S. distributor for RSL Awards.

I created USA Music Exams to bring the benefits of structured, modern music assessments to more schools and studios across the country. Today, I work with a wide range of music programs — from independent teachers to multi-location schools — helping them implement exams, streamline their systems, and create engaging, high-impact programs that attract and retain students.

I also coach and mentor music educators and school leaders, helping them strengthen their teaching, build confident teams, and grow thriving, sustainable businesses. Whether you’re just getting started or scaling up, I’m here to help.
